Test driving one of the most luxurious brands, Genesis, with the electrified midsize SUV model GV70 for five passengers, with a starting MSRP price of $65K. This all-electric SUV competes well with German luxury cars.
The GV70 electrified was the first athletic and urban midsize SUV made by Genesis, with a beautiful design merging athletic elegance and streamlined sophistication.
The Genesis SUV lineup includes only three SUVs, the smaller member of the family, the GV60 is only available as an all-electric. Then the mid-size GV70 SUV that I am test driving is available as an all-electric or with a gasoline engine, and finally, the larger GV80 SUV is only available with a gasoline engine.
The electrified GV70 is very attractive with smooth parabolic design lines creating a natural flow. The exterior design is also enhanced by the two-line LED headlamps and taillamps, resulting in a clean and elegant athletic look and silhouette.
The interior design of the GV70 is very clean, sober, and elegant, and some nice flavor is added with the interior ambient lighting that can be customized with several color options.
There is nothing you are going to miss when driving a Genesis vehicle, perhaps still not as famous as other luxury brands but for sure quality and luxury are at the same level of the top of the line car brands.

The GV70 Electrified includes an Electronically Controlled Suspension with Road Preview that optimizes your driving experience with a very soft ride by using a front camera to read the road surface ahead, then automatically adjusts the suspension of this Genesis to navigate potholes or speed bumps.
Five different driving modes are available to be selected depending on your ride type. Boost mode is a maximum powertrain performance mode giving you ten seconds of additional horsepower and torque for fast speeds and high power.

2023 GV70 trim models and pricing

The electrified GV70 2023 is available in two different packages/trims, the base package is the Advanced, and then for an additional $6,800 more you can purchase the GV70 with the Prestige Package.
My model is the electrified 2023 GV70, Prestige Package, AWD, all-electric, with an MSRP pricing of $74,350.
The GV70 Advanced package is the base of the line and in addition to tons of features, it includes a premium navigation system with a 14.5″ HD screen, vehicle-to-load charging, and Leather Seating Surfaces.
Then the GV70 Prestige package is the top of the line adding Nappa leather seating surfaces, a 12.3″ 3D digital instrument cluster, and heated 2nd row seats.
