2022 Corvette Stingray Convertible 3 LT
I am driving the fantastic Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible, a two-seat, rear-wheel drive sports car produced under the Chevrolet brand by General Motors in the United States since 1953.
This two-door, two-passenger luxury sports car is America’s most affordable luxury racing car that you can drive every day.
Corvette is the first American sports car built by an American manufacturer. Chevrolet Corvette cars are assembled at General Motors plants in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Flint, Michigan and St. Louis, Missouri. There is National Corvette Museum at Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Two Corvette Stingrays: Coupe and Convertible
The new 2022 Corvette is available in two main styles, the Corvette coupe, and the Corvette convertible that I am test driving, which is my favorite model between the coupe and the convertible.
I had the opportunity to test drive the Coupe model a few weeks ago and it has some advantages like the see-through mid-engine behind the seats, but I definitely enjoy more the exterior and interior design of the convertible Corvette.
Chevrolet’s goal to make a convertible model out of the Corvette coupe was not an easy task, but it is done, Chevrolet was able to create this sporty Stingray Corvette convertible and it looks amazing!
The Corvette Stingray Coupe and Convertible have been completely redesigned since 2020, delivering luxury style, performance and emotions on every ride.
The mid-engined Corvette Stingray coupe and convertible models are offered in 1LT, 2LT and 3LT trims, with the Z51 performance package available on all trims. Magnetic Ride Control is available with or without the Z51 performance package.
Coupes include a removable roof panel that is stored in the rear trunk, while convertibles include a large power hardtop.
In addition to the already four familiar electronic driving modes, Sport, Track, Tour and Weather, two more driving modes have been added: MyMode and Z Mode, which the driver can use to activate individual engine settings, gearbox and chassis performance.
Driving this convertible you can enjoy a true performance hardtop in the new Stingray. The two-piece hardtop can be activated at speeds up to 30 mph with the power of six electric motors for improved reliability in extreme temperatures.
The Stingray convertible weighs just 77 pounds more than the Stingray coupe and the top is available in the regular body-color of the car or Carbon Flash finish.
New Corvette Convertible Design
The new 2022 Corvette Convertible design is just amazing! It includes high flying buttresses, curves, and ultra-futuristic style everywhere.
If you want to turn heads this is the car that will turn more heads on the road and on parking lots. The new Corvette is just too attractive and will appeal to everyone.
It will probably be impossible to find somebody who doesn’t get the wow effect when looking at the new Corvette Convertible. The Corvette model has its own emblem, which is different from the Chevrolet emblem. The iconic Corvette Stingray is a beautifully sculpted mid-engine sports car that will continue to get fans everywhere it drives.
Driving a Corvette Convertible will make you feel like a Rock Star anywhere you go. Get ready for lots of attention everywhere you ride your Corvette.
The Stingray is not your everyday car, but it is a racing car you can drive every day around town. The Stingray’s design was inspired by fighter jets, producing and stylish exterior design.
Trims and Pricing for the 2022 Corvette Stingray Convertible
Pricing is one of the unbelievable qualities of the Corvette Stingray. It is hard to believe how GM has been able to keep so low price for such a luxury and fast car. However, the waiting list to buy a Corvette might be long sometimes and the resell value might even be higher than the original purchase price, a phenomenon that happens with very few cars, including classic cars. Therefore buying a Corvette might be a good investment and even produce a profit in the long run if you plan to resell it.
The 1LT trim model starts at a very low price of $69K and the top of the line trim level 3LT goes for $81K, still a low price for such amazing sports luxury car.

The 2022 Corvette Stingray lineup features three new exterior colors: Hypersonic Grey, Caffeine and Amplify Orange Tintcoat.
A new low profile rear spoiler and Z51 design front splitter is available on non-Z51 models.
